I liked the thrill of moving somewhere new, especially such a beautiful place like Galway. Further, Galway has an excellent university with a thriving community in biomedical science, in addition to loads of companies in medical devices. So when I was offered the opportunity to work in Ireland, I was more than happy to accept!

      Hello Roisin,
Ireland is becoming the new hub for knowledge translation, knowledge translation is when we take what we do behind the bench whether its science, technology, medical to the real world. Since my area of speciality is fairly new and its not taught everywhere (although it is some whet well established in Ireland), I chose Ireland to pursue the opportunity to branch in Europe from Ireland.
