      Hi Layla,
When I was young I wanted to be a chef or an archeologist! You see I grew up in Poland in 1980s, it was time of crisis (the communism was coming to an end) and many things were not easy to get by. People had to be very creative with what they have. I always thought how to built cool toys for myself (we didn’t have any computers back then). My dream was always to have a remote controlled car – they were difficult to buy and rather expensive. Although I have never build one myself I got one from my wife for my 30th birthday!
I was always curious about the surrounding world and fascinated by technology – my favorite TV show was “Sonda” polish show showing two pints of view of the same thing – one supporting idea the other poking holes in it – it was presented by two brilliant hosts and quite advanced for those times (I can watch soem fo the episodes on Youtube! https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZCrY7ZTsfUI only in Polish sorry).
I think that many good engineers and scientists are drawn to art and I love architecture and drawing and paper engineering where you make things like pop-up books – see my profile for links etc.
